Taiwanese players are positive about the industry’s future (development index 72.2/100) and keen for ongoing change (change index 70.6) — a clear opening for new, innovative ideas. Spending outlook, however, is flat at 53.5, suggesting buying power will hold rather than surge.

Local-first preferences

Three-quarters of Taiwanese players find game information online. They favour local titles and recommend Japanese games among overseas productions. When deciding to spend, the top factors are innovation & technology, practicality, and cost-effectiveness.
